ITANAGAR, Mar 11: BJP Arunachal Pradesh led by the State President Tapir Gao and Chief Minister Pema Khandu today celebrated the electoral victories of BJP in the recently concluded state elections. BJP got landslide mandates in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and is a frontrunner in forming the government in Manipur along with allies.

Speaking on the occasion, Gao, congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National BJP President, Amit Shah for the victories. He attributed the election victories to good governance and policies of Modi government and asserted that it is a clear reflection of the PM’s pro-poor policies and anti-corruption measures including demonetisation and zero tolerance to terrorism. ‘The only message coming out from today’s election results is - It is development alone that wins!,’  Gao said.                                     

Chief Minister Pema Khandu who was jubilant over the wins said that the country has got a very strong Prime Minister like Narendra Modi after a long time. ‘His policies have indeed positively impacted crores of people across India and in the states that went to poll. The election results are vindication of this fact,’ Khandu said.

He further added that people across the country have appreciated the demonetisation policy despite facing great deal of difficulties in the beginning. ‘In spite of the heavy propaganda by the opposition on demonetisation and its harm to the poor, the poor have strikingly embraced demonetisation and shown that people of India resoundingly welcome anti-corruption measures by an honest government,’ the CM said.    

In the same vein, Khandu said that ‘Team Arunachal’ should also keep the same zeal and spirit as Prime Minister Modi and bring to fruition the ‘sabke saath , sabka vikas’   slogan  following the principle of sarvodaya and antyodaya of the party. He opined that the budget presented by the Deputy Chief Minister, who holds the Finance portfolio is the first step in this direction.

In the victory celebration, besides many BJP Legislators, Senior Leaders,  State Office Bearers, Morcha Heads and karyakartas,  Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein,  Minister, Power, Industries, Textiles & Co-operation, Tamiyo Taga, Minister Education Honchun Ngandam, Minister, PHED Bamang Felix, and Minister, Veterinary and Dairy Development, Dr. Mohesh Chai also participated.
