ITANAGAR, Feb 25:

A simple ‘Vijay Utsav’ function was organised at the Bharatiya Janata Party State Office, Itanagar to celebrate the recent electoral success of the party in the  local government body elections in Odisha and Maharashtra.

The electoral performance of BJP has improved manifold in Odisha and Maharastra from last election.  In the last election in Odisha, the BJP managed to win only 31 seats in the Panchayat election as compared to 306 seats this time which is an eightfold increase.

In the case of Maharashtra, in the BMC election, the number of seats in Maharashtra won by BJP in the last election was only 31. This time it has increased to 82 seats. This increase in the number of seats in the Local Government Body election is a clear indication of the popularity of the development initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-ji. Going by this trend the popularity of BJP is increasing all over India and the day is not far when BJP will replace other parties as a true pan India national party, an official release of the party stated.
