ITANAGAR, Nov 19:  In a proud moment for the state, the  youth contingent participating in the sixth edition of Northeast Youth festival brought laurels to the state by winning four medals in different categories.
The four prizes bagged by the state contingent includes a gold medal by rock band competition represented by a band led by Tepu Raji Tamin, a silver in clay modelling and instrumental guitar competition by Bikas Das and Bapu Dulom and a bronze medal in folk song competition by a team led by Vijay Dui.
The sixth edition of the Youth Festival was organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India in association with Government of Tripura at Agartala with an aim to promote the tradition and culture of eight states of the North Eastern region in the form of art, craft, culture and musical fusion and also to bridge the gaps among youths by bringing them all in one platform.
