ITANAGAR, Sep 13: Arunachal Pradesh State Legislative Assembly will soon be getting its own museum depicting the origin, growth and functioning of the Assembly as well as the rich cultural heritage of the state.
To review the progress of work, 80 per cent of which has already been completed, Assembly Speaker Pasang Dorjee Sona on Friday held a meeting with the Assembly officials and representatives of the concerned work executing agency here at his office chamber. The museum which is expected to be operational within a month is being set up in the Assembly premises having different sections such as 3D sculptures, handmade paintings, customised 3D paintings and photographs of Arunachal’s former Chief Ministers, Speakers, Deputy Speakers and renowned figures. It will also be equipped with a 3D Hall which will enable visitors to view the museum from three dimensions and a selfie zone for taking photos.
The objective behind setting up the museum is to preserve the history of Arunachal Pradesh Assembly, Speaker said and called for early completion of remaining works. Stating that people usually go to museum to get information, Speaker urged officers to emphasise on facts of artefacts and other objects to be displayed in the museum.  “Give utmost care to the facts of objects, artefacts, photographs etc,” Speaker asserted while asking them to ensure all information are duly verified and authenticated by experts and extensive research.

Earlier, through a PowerPoint Presentation the whole concept and progress of the museum was explained in detail by the representatives. The meeting was also attended by Secretary M Lasa and senior officers of the Assembly. Speaker Media Cell
