CHIMPU, Mar 4: The 4lh consultative meeting of Sports Authority of Arunachal Pradesh  (SAA) with Arunachal Olympic Association and all registered state level sports associations was held where various issues related to the promotion of games & sports and sports persons were discussed.
All the presidents/secretaries of the concerned associations including President/Secretary of Arunachal Olympic Association attended the meeting and put forward their report card of the activities and also offered suggestions for promotion of their respective games & sports.
Addressing the meeting, SAA chairman Bamang Tago said that it should be the endeavour to work for promotion of games & sports as there is no dearth of talent among the state’s tribal youths who need support, guidance and training. The prime motto of the department and SAA shall be to support and provide training and education to all talented and meritorious youths who have passed and got selected at various levels from blocks, circles, districts and at state level games, he said. We also should spread awareness at all levels so that rural talents can avail the benefits of the sports policy of the state government,Tago reiterated.
SAA chairman also felt that sport is growing in state under the able leadership of Pema Khandu with many sports stadiums and other infrastructures  being constructed.

Several meritorious sports persons have received the benefits of sports policy in job reservation by getting  employment in various state government departments.

He urge upon all the registered associations to motivate their executive members and work for the greater interest for promotion of games & sports in state.
SAA Vice Chairman Doni Nich in his address appealed the executive members of various organizations to come forward and work together. He assured  his support as and when required.
Arunachal Olympic Association (AOA) Secretary General AK Techi, Director SAA Gumnya Karbak, Karate Association of India President Likha Tara, Director Youths Affairs D K Dinglow were among others who addressed the gathering.
Power Point presentation (PPT) on annual sports activities by all concerned associations was also made.
