ITANAGAR, Jan 9: A Special Outreach Programme was conducted today at Tenga village under Singchung Circle in West Kameng district by the Field Outreach Bureau, Bomdila Unit, Ministry of I & B, GoI which covered the themes- Ban on Single Use Plastics (SUP), Swachhta Action Plan, Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat and 180-day achievements of NDA 2.
The programme was marked with events like mass awareness rally and meeting, quiz and rural sport competitions and was held in coordination with PHED Tenga and former Panchayat members of Tenga village. Former ZPM Singchung S.N. Sarai was the Chief Guest, also attended by HGB Singchung Dawa Sarai and former ASM P. Phinya. FOB Head Bomdila Pem Tsering highlighted the objectives of the programme and explained about the ban on SUP and 180-day achievements of NDA 2. Junior Engineer, PHED Tenga S.N. Maurya, who was the Resource Person spoke on Swachhta Action Plan (SAP) and informed that under SBM scheme, Tenga village and Tenga market have completed the targets of Solid Liquid Waste Management (SLWM), Individual Household Latrine (IHHL), Community Sanitary Complex and distributed two dustbins to each of the village households.
