Bomdila, Feb 29: The Bureau of Outreach and Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Bomdila Unit conducted a Special Outreach Programme on February 28 last at the Pine Dale Public School, Kakaling in West Kameng district.
The programme had the themes Swachh Bharat Mission, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and started with a mass awareness rally followed by public meeting, quiz competition, distribution of publicity materials and posters on related themes. The aims and objectives were to create awareness about the various flagship programmes of the government. The programme was inaugurated by Chairman, Pine Dale Public School, Kakaling Tsering Chodak as Chief Guest who advised the rural folk to avail maximum benefits under these schemes.
District Consultant PHE, Department, Bomdila Sange Komu as Resource Person for Swachh Bharat Mission discussed the importance of cleanliness in daily life, adding that West kameng district has been declared as an open defecation free zone and after two to three years, cent per cent sanitation work would be completed.
