NIKTE, Oct 2:
A Special outreach program on “Swachhta Action Plan” was conducted here today by the Field Outreach Bureau, Government of India in coordination with the Department of PHE, Aalo.
The program began with a public rally, which was participated by huge numbers of locals as well as officials, teaching staff, students and residents of the nearby place. The programme aimed to create wide awareness amongst the public regarding the importance of cleanliness.
In his address, resource person, Jumto Ete exhorted the public to maintain cleanliness not only inside the house but surroundings to avoid diseases. He also explained in brief, the benefits of the 6 steps of hand wash and gave a demonstration of the same.
Former ZPM, Nikte circle Topak Ori, enlightened public on the importance of Swachh Bharat Mission, a mission launched to make the country clean.
FPO, in charge, FOB, Govt. of India, M.Basar highlighted the aim and objective of the program and advised the gathering to spread the message of the significance of maintaining cleanliness. A quiz competition was also conducted which was followed by distribution of booklets on Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. Earlier the team also conducted a social service around Nikte secondary school to Nikte PHC.
