ITANAGAR, Aug 23: Pasang Dorjee Sona, Speaker State Legislative Assembly, on Friday visited the Chimchoo Art Gallery at Itanagar here and inspected a number of art pieces by local artists.
The newly opened art gallery is the brainchild of few famous artists of the state to promote art and provide a platform to the budding artists of the state.
Being an art lover himself, the Speaker appreciated the Chimchoo Art Gallery and members of Arunachal Academy of Fine Arts (AAFA) for starting the art gallery to facilitate platforms for artists of the state to exhibit their talents.
Expressing his admiration for the artists’ unbelievable talents, Sona suggested them to use their skills and creative imaginations for promotion and preservation of state’s rich cultural heritage.
Artist Kompi Riba, while showing the Speaker around the gallery, briefed him about each painting and art work. She also highlighted the Speaker about objective, future plans and other aspects of AAFA.
The Speaker was accompanied by Abu Tayeng, General Manager, Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services and Lhakpa Tsering, president, Motorsports Club of Arunachal. Media cell
