MECHUKA, Nov 3: Legislative Assembly Speaker P.D. Sona on Sunday visited Targelling village near Mechukha in Shi-Yomi district and attended a meeting organized by the denizens.
Addressing the meeting, Sona assured to look into the three-point memorandum submitted by the villagers which included construction of approach road, bridge, and flood control. He however reiterated that there shouldn't be any controversy when the projects take off and suggested to solve any issue related to land amicably so that developmental works are not hampered. Earlier, the denizens of Targelling submitted a memorandum seeking Speaker's attention towards their plights where they informed that due to absence of connectivity they are facing numerous hardships.
Later, Speaker visited old Gompa and sought blessings and took stock of the road condition which was damaged during monsoon. He directed the contractor to immediately restore the road for free flow of tourists.
