ITANAGAR, Mar 16: In the wake of the unfortunate incident in VKV, Sher , Kimin where a 12-year-old boy lost his life, Capital police under the supervision of Superintendent of Police, Tumme Amo held a meeting with all the heads of residential schools of government and private sector here at SP office today.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, SP Amo informed that the meeting was convened following a directive from the Director General of Police to all the SPs of the districts to hold a meeting with heads of schools.
During the meeting, principals and wardens of various schools under the capital complex shared their views and measures to stop any kind harassment or bullying in their respective schools.
“We have also urged them to submit full details and information of wardens, and other members of the school with proper format. Moreover, we have also directed the concerned schools to submit monthly report to their nearest police station about all the activities of the school including transfer or recruitment of teachers and others," he said.
Further schools have been directed to install CCTV in their campuses, hostels excluding some private space in girls hostels.
