ITANAGAR, Sep 26: A delegate of State Legislative Assembly led by its Speaker Pasang Dorjee Sona on Thursday arrived at the Commonwealth Resort Munyonyo, Kampala in Uganda to take part in the 64th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference.
The 64th CPC is being held in Kampala under the theme, “Adaption, Engagement and Evolution of Parliaments in a Rapidly Changing Commonwealth.” National Speakers and delegates from over 53 countries are attending the CPC.
The Indian team is led by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla comprising of presiding officers and secretaries from state legislatures from India who are members of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA).
During the conference around ten workshops will be held on various subjects and Sona is likely to deliver speech on common issues concerning the commonwealth nations.
