ITANAGAR, Aug 9: Ai Yeh Hol FC suffered a humiliating defeat 7:0 in its first-round C qualifying match against Siang United FC in the ongoing 7th Solung football tournament played here today at Bn Ground, Chimpu.
From the beginning, Siang FC had dominated possession and a short pass to Striker Tanyong Nyokar (99) by forward, Bani Ngupok(09) gave Siang FC the lead in the 18th minute which was followed by another fantastic goal by Omin Pangging (07) in the 26th minute.
In the second half, the Siang FC team continued to maintain its domination over Ai Yeh Hol. Unstoppable, Forward, Omin Pangging (07) pumped in 4 goals within 20 minutes of the second half making him the only player to score highest goals in a single match totaling 5 goals. Kaling Tatin (10) too scored giving the team a 7:0 lead when the final whistle blew.
Meanwhile continuing its winning run, Donggin FC registered its second win, with the help of Talom Tarring hattrick against Agam Yameng FC in the second match of the day.
The first goal came after just five minutes, when striker, Talom Taring of Donggin FC got into the 18-yard- opponent box who took advantage of a gap in defense line and placed the ball into the net. The goal was followed by comical self goal by Kaling Pali of Donggin FC in the 17th minute of the game.
However, Donggin FC took the lead again in the last minute of first-half when Taring went on a solo run and finished with a low angled strike to make 2-1 in Donggin's favour.
The second half did not start any differently from the first with the Donggin FC coming strong to mount pressure on Agam Yameng FC while lackluster coordination and lack of finishing made things worse for the latter.
In the 17th minute, after missing an easy volley three minutes earlier, Taring struck his third goal and added another (26 and 35 minutes). Earlier Kabang Pari also contributed a goal for Donggin FC.
