LIKABALI, Jun 17: The Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh(IFCSAP) organised Swachh Bharat Abhiyan-cum-plantation programme here at Central Donyi Polo Gamgi on June 16 last.
More than 300 persons participated from various circles of Lower Siang district like Likhabali, Gensi, Kangku and Nari Koyu circles. The programme started with the cleaning of Central Donyi Polo Gamgi premises and planting of more than 200 trees in and around Gamgi and nearby areas. IFCSAP Social Service Secretary Hendo Taipodia, President Youth Wing Nabam Ruja and President Capital Complex Unit Likha Nyirmin attended the programme.
JE, PHED Likhabali Shailendra Kumar Gupta as Resource Person stressed on following the objectives of Swachh Bharat Mission(SBM) to bring improvement in the general quality of life in rural areas by promoting cleanliness, hygiene and eliminating open defecation and accelerate sanitation coverage in these areas to achieve the vision of Swachh Bharat by October 2 this year.
IFCSAP Vice President Lower Siang District Unit Goken Gara and the society’s General Secretary Bai Taba also spoke on the occasion.
