YAZALI,  Jul 31: Taking serious view of the  poor results in CBSE examination and high rate of dropouts during the last few years, the Nyishi Elite Society has decided to adopt one school from each district for a minimum period of three years.
As a part of Phase-I of the adoption programme, Government Secondary School Sebibo in East Kameng, Government Secondary School Pakke-Kessang in Pakke-Kessang district, Government Higher Secondary school Sagalee in  Papum Pare, Government Higher Secondary School Yazali in Lower Subansiri, Government Higher Secondary School Palin in Kra Daadi, Government Higher Secondary School Nyapin  in Kurung Kumey and Government Higher Secondary School Raga in Kamle Districts has been chosen to be adopted. 
NES will monitor and coordinate with the respective school authorities to improve the academic performance of the schools besides taking care of the immediate issues like sanitation, water & power supply, subject teachers, furniture etc. Further, it will insist and encourage for the formation of alumni associations of these adopted schools to support NES for proper implementation and overall development.
Yazali is known as centre for cultural transformation of the Nyishi community, where the first maiden feature film of Arunachal Pradesh “Meri Maa Meri Dharam” was made and also the birth place of “Rikham Pada”, the famous Nyishi folk song. GHSS Yazali also has the enviable record of producing many social workers, politicians, technocrats and bureaucrats serving in different positions in the state and country.
President NES Bengia Tolum and Minister Education Taba Tedir will jointly launch the NES School Adoption Programme on Friday, August 2 at  GHSS Yazali. NES PR
