ITANAGAR, Jun 12:Highlighting the plight of students due to non-existence of science and commerce streams at the lone higher secondary school at Mechukha, the Boh Ramo Bokar (Adi) Elite Society has requested the Education Minister to introduce the streams considering the growing number of aspirants.
In entire Mechukha sub division, there is only one higher secondary school which was upgraded in the year 1992, but due to non existence of science and commerce streams many eligible candidates have to move to other places to pursue the same, a release informed.
Stating that most of the people of Mechukha falls under Below Poverty Line( BPL) , it pointed out the while moving out the students have to face huge problems in order to get admission while also shelling significant amount of money.
