KIMIN, Feb 28: The Education and Cultural Development Society (ECDS) taking note of the impasse due to non-appointment of regular director for NERIST, has urged the BJP led state government to seek the Centre’s immediate intervention in the matter.
ECDS also urged Member of Parliament Ninong Ering and Mukut Mithi to have active debate in Parliament for the interest of the state on such burning issues.
Further, in its press statement, Chairman ECDS Nabam Akin Hina also asserted that many contractors have left their work half done at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jote due to non-funding against ongoing works by the central government terming it a roadblock for students who are pursuing their education in NIT Jote.
