RAGA, Sep 21: Continuing with its School Adoption Programme in the Nyishi dominated areas of the state, Nyishi Elite Society today adopted  Raga HSS.  
Addressing the ceremony, NES President Bengia Tolum appealed all to shoulder responsibility for upliftment of the Nyishi tribe. School adoption does not mean that NES will provide fund but it is a motivation for all stakeholders and administration to come together and work for the development of the school and help in progress of the education sector in Nyishi community in particular and state in general, he said. Terming roads as the most important component of development of society, he appealed all land owners of TAH to cooperate with the administration. He also requested the Raga AC MLA Tarin Dakpe to sit together with the intellectuals of Kamle district in every quarter for all developmental matters.    
Dakpe while lauding the activities of NES, opined that everyone irrespective of any political affiliation should extend support for the development of the district. He said that education scenario of state is very bad and it would only improve if all stakeholders join hands together.
A provision of 15 crore have been kept by the state government for making Kamle a model district with a   model district headquarters, he said. Dapke also informed that re-assessment of TAH will begin from October 10 from Lower Subansiri and Upper Subansiri districts and appealed all owners to cooperate for smooth conduct of the process.
NES General Secretary Heri Maring informed that NES till date had adopted seven schools in all the Nyishi dominated seven districts and finally Kamle in the last leg. Urging all stakeholders/parents to guide their children to stay away from drugs, he requested the DC to constitute an anti-drug squad headed by a Magistrate and take strict action against all those involved in the menace.
