ITANAGAR, May 28: A slew of events will commemorate the 78th birth anniversary of Luminous Lummer Dai, the literary giant of Arunachal Pradesh, on June 1 next.

For a change, this time around the literary icon’s birth anniversary is going to be conducted at Siluk under East Siang district with the scene of action being Govt Upper Primary School Siluk.

The special occasion will witness the unveiling of statue of the illustrious writer, who made inroads into the hearts of all and sundry through his creations, penned in Assamese language.

Also included in the line up is Lummer Dai State Literary Award Ceremony.

As part of organizing the designated day, the Silukian Welfare Kebang is making all effort to make the occasion a grand success, albeit, with partnership of Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society.
