TAWANG, Mar 5: A 30-day skill development training on Thangka painting (Traditional canvas painting) programme sponsored by Director of skill development and entrepreneurship, got underway here at the District industries centre.
Tsering Drema, ADI I/C DDI Tawang in her speech appealed the trainees to avail maximum benefit from such training, and be self employed. She further informed that similar kind of training were organised at Lungla on local Agarbatti making and local Handmade paper at Jemeithang. The DIC Tawang has always encouraged training on traditional art and crafts, she added.
In his speech, In-charge Deputy Commissioner Tawang, Dochora Lama, EAC, encouraged the educated unemployed youths to come forward and avail such trainings organised by the government.
Thirty trainees will undergo training for a period of one month and after completion of the training, they will be self employed. DIPRO
