Khonsa, Dec 18: A skill development training programme spread over sixty two days in various trades sponsored by Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (AP&OCWWB) implemented by GPTI Welfare Society/ GPTI Skill Training Institute cum Academy was formally launched here at the NBF Conference Hall on December 17 last by I/c Deputy Commissioner & ADC Khonsa Jalash Pertin.
The launching ceremony was attended by DELO I/c Papang Duggong, DDMO, RO(LWB) Tonlong Wangpan, Coordinator Milton Taga and master trainers/trainees. Deputy Commissioner said that the programme is a great opportunity for the unrecognized workers and unemployed youths of Tirap district in particular and the state as a whole and reminded the trainees to inculcate a sense of hospitality to build customer base. While replying to a remark made by President Workers Union Tirap Unit Sumnyan Tongluk of restricting the casual/contingent staff workers from attending important union meetings by the concerned HoDs, DC assured to issue necessary circular for the redressal. DLEO shared his experience about the past skill development training and added that duration   must be of a minimum of least two months so that quality training can be acquired. Coordinator informed that certificates will be issued to all passed-out trainees after completion of the 62-day training.    
RO (LWB) highlighted the benefits of the programme and advised all trainees to be punctual while attending training. Seema Singh, Phemoit Kuma and Jiten Gogoi are the trainers for Beautician, Electrician and Plumber trades respectively. DIPRO
