BORDURIA, Oct 6: Adviser to CM cum MLA Wanglin Lowangdong laid the foundation stone for construction of Police Station at Circle headquarters Borduria in presence of SP Tirap Jitendra Kumar Meena today.
‘Tirap district being one of the trouble torn districts of Arunachal Pradesh –public living in Tirap, Changlang and Longding have experienced various law and order problems in the region since last more than a decade for which police station in a place like Borduria is of utmost importance to control law and order,’ Lowangdong said.
Asserting that however the situation in the district now is quite normal in comparison to previous years, he appreciated present SP JK Meena and his team for overall performance of Tirap police. He said with the establishment of Police station, people of Borduria circle would definitely feel more secure.
Speaking on the occasion, Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar Meena, sought cooperation from the public.
‘Police and public must treat each other as friends so that peace can prevail in the region,’ the SP said.
Er. Yumra Bui, AE (PWD) informed that Rs. 1.5 crore fund was sanctioned under SIDF 2018-19 for construction of the Police Station including boundary wall and target of completion is within this financial year. Later Lowangdong accompanied by SP inspected ongoing infrastructure works at Borduria.
