ITANAGAR, Jun 22: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Arunachal Pradesh Police Welfare Fund fraud case where money to the tune of Rs 42 lakh parked in Axis Bank was allegedly siphoned off fraudulently through forgery by a few bank officials, has arrested four of the prime accused.
The four arrested bank officials are Assistant Manager (Sales) Manab Jyoti Medak, Sales Managers Palash Bordoloi and Milan Boruah and Suleman Ali. Higher authorities of the bank have joined the investigation process and the entire amount has been recovered. The SIT was led by SP SIT Dr Navdeep Singh Brar (IPS) and was accompanied by Inspectors N. Lali and T Vijay. A case numbering CB-PS 14/2020 U/S 468/420/471/409/403/34 IPC was registered at CB-PS (SIT) PHQ Itanagar on June 9 last.
Further investigation is on to arrest the other accomplices and trace the trail of the money in various bank accounts. PRO APP
