BOMDILA, May 28:The first meeting of the District Level Committee on State Infrastructure Development Fund (SIDF) was held today at district headquarters Bomdila.
Chairing the crucial meeting Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sonal Swaroop informed that the meeting of all the MLAs, Administrative officers and the HODs of the district was necessitated to decide and formulate plans and schemes for the infrastructure development in the district.
She urged the local legislators of the district to prioritize the schemes which would later be analyzed by the state government on need basis and sanctioned accordingly. She also made it known that no private member scheme would be entertained.
Speaker Legislative Assembly TN Thongdok called for equitable distribution of fund for development of all the constituencies in the district and asked for a pragmatic approach while preparing the schemes.
Advocating for organic farming, he reiterated for road connectivity to the farming areas to facilitate marketing of the agriculture produce in the district. He also emphasized on proper co-ordination between the HODs and the legislators for proper implementation of the schemes.
Parliamentary Secretary for PHED & WS, Eco & Statistics, Kumsi Sidisow opined that the schemes to be taken up under the SIDF should primarily be targeted to boost education, health sector and road connectivity in the district.
Advisor to CM Local Legislator Japu Deru suggesting for people oriented schemes called for better team work between the officers and the legislators in order to make the schemes viable, transparent and development oriented.
Later, the HODs and the administrative officers placed their proposals before the District Level Committee for consideration.
