ITANAGAR, Aug 12: As part of the Independence Day celebrations, a stage show on Bharat Ratna, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, the Iron Man of India will be presented at the Dorjee Khandu State Convention Hall, Itanagar on August 15. With the active cooperation of the Gujarat State Government, this cultural programme is aimed to promote aesthetic music, song, dance and drama to reinforce patriotism, national integration, and spirit of unity in diversity. 
Sardar Patel was one of the most popular political leaders of India during the struggle for independence. Post-independence he served as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Home Affairs, Minister of Information, and Minister of States. His enduring fame rests on his achievement of the peaceful integration of 562 princely Indian states into the Indian Union and the resultant political unification of India.
The play, enacted by a troupe of 25 artists will be of 75 minutes. It will depict the time, life and contributions of Sardar Patel to the country. It will be presented by ‘ViewFinder’ a renowned theatre troupe. The Theatre group, which is the winner of ‘Best Play’ award from Gujarat State Dance Drama and Music Academy, has been performing in different parts of India for the last 17 years. PRO RajBhawan
