ITANAGAR, May 3: Seva Bharati Arunachal Pradesh has stood by the state’s common people during the lockdown period by distributing food material and masks.
In a press release, the organisation said that through its volunteers in Tezu it had distributed masks on April 5 and submitted the list of needy people to the district authority who hadn’t received any help. In a similar activity, on April 12 its volunteers distributed food materials in Naharlagun on a sector-wise basis through the volunteers and on the next day also in Itanagar, Nirjuli and Rono Hills. Starting April 17 and spread over the next three days, Seva Bharati’s district unit distributed food items in various parts of Aalong township and on April 19, Pasighat volunteers distributed food materials to the needy in Banderdewa and Deomali in Tirap district.
Students of the state numbering 1350 currently stranded at different states due to the lockdown had been extended help by Seva Bharati and in Arunachal Pradesh it had distributed food material and 2000 masks so far at 37 places in different districts which had benefited almost 3400.
