Tawang, Nov 18: A preliminary meeting of the Fact Finding Committee constituted vide Lok Adalat’s order to discuss the ground realities of Base Transceiver Station (BTS) including issues such as staff management and power supply in wake of current poor mobile and data services in Tawang district was held today here at the Deputy Commissioner’s office chamber.
The meeting was chaired by Project Director DRDA Lobsang Tsetan and was attended by EAC Choiki Dondup, representatives of service providers like BSNL, Airtel, and Vodafone. Executive Engineer (Elect) Er. Sang Dorjee informed that although there is no power shortage, service providers should also have alternate provisions of power supply to provide continuous services to the customers. The representatives of Vodafone and Airtel informed that they have been trying their best to provide better services and there will be visible improvement within a week.
After discussion, the house decided to visit the sites beginning from Dzela towards Tawang on November 25 to verify the ground realities. DIPRO
