ITANAGAR, Apr 1: The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has upped the ante against the threat of COVID-19.
Senior officials of the level of Commissioners and Secretaries have been deputed to interact and assess the on ground preparedness of the District Administrations to fight off the menace of COVID- 19.
Commissioner Power, GS Meena has been directed to inspect Tirap, Changlang and Longding region. Secretary RWD Kapa Kholie will inspect Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, Lower Siang and Lepa Rada. Secretary, IPR & Planning will assess the districts of Lohit, Namsai and Anjaw. Secretary Agriculture Bidol Tayeng will inspect the districts of East Siang, Upper Siang, West Siang, Siang and Shi Yomi.
In the western region, Secretary Textiles & Handicrafts, Swapnil Naik will undertake field inspection of Tawang, West Kameng, East Kameng and Pakke Kessang while Secretary Disaster Management will undertake inspection of Kurung Kumey, Kra Daadi, Kamle, Papumpare, Lower Subansiri and Upper Subansiri.
The officers will review the isolation of suspected cases of Covid-19 in these districts, apart from monitoring the preparedness of district health facilities. They would also review the supply of essential commodities and the relief measures undertaken to provide essential commodities to migrant and daily wage earners. DIPRO
