ITANAGAR, Feb 13: In view of the upcoming Assembly election, a group of senior citizens from Leparada District comprising of  Former Ministers,  Bureaucrats and Technocrats appealed to the Chief Minister and BJP high command to confer party ticket to ZPC Leparada Nyabi Jini Dirchi who is also the aspiring BJP MLA candidate from Basar constituency.
Speaking to the media at the Arunachal Press Club on Tuesday, Tojo Basar, the Spokesperson of Senior Citizens Group of Leparada asserted that, ZPC Nyabi Jini Dirchi is the most deserving candidate for the ruling BJP ticket from the Basar constituency. Besides being the BJP’s ZPC she has done tremendous developmental work for the constituency and also worked to strengthen BJP party in the districts as well as in the Constituency, he said.
Extending his support, Former Minister Eken Riba stated that, Jini has the capability to work for society and state as a whole. He said that the ZPC has fulfilled the BJP leadership vacuum in  entire Leparada District by working with sincerity and commitment.
Recognizing her selfless vision and tireless services towards the welfare of the people and overall developments of Leparada District, now thousands of people have joined the BJP and still many more supporters are ready to join the party under the leadership of Smt. Nyabi Jini Dirchi, Riba said.
“Today the BJP has been re-energised and strengthened to such a position that the winning chance of the BJP and Smt. Nyabi Jini Dirchi's Candidature is very much a reality  and beyond any doubt in 29-Basar (ST) Assembly Constituency,” added the former minister.
Meanwhile, Retired Chief Engineer (PWD) Toli Basar lamented that, under the incumbent MLA, Basar constituency has been deprived of  many developments due to his incompetency. Leparada District being one of the newly created districts is far behind many other districts in terms of development, even construction of Mini Secretariat is still pending, he added.
“On the other hand, Nyabi Jini Dirchi in the capacity as ZPC has been successfully guiding all the panchayat members and local administration in the entire district in implementing various central and state-sponsored schemes fairly and successfully for the welfare and benefit of the rural/ urban needy people in all sectors,” stated former Chief Engineer.
