PASIGHAT, Mar 13: State Election Commissioner (SEC) Hage Kojeen reviewed the preparedness and issues regarding smooth conduct of upcoming simultaneous Panchayat and Municipal elections here at a meeting held at the DC’s conference hall on Friday with Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kinny Singh and SP Rajiv Ranjan Singh.
Secretary to Commissioner Nyali Ete, ADCs of Pasighat, Mebo, Ruksin and Nari, officers of PMC, election and administration were present at the meeting. 
Interacting with the officers, the SEC directed to gear up men and machineries for the smooth conduct of the upcoming elections in the district. He strictly instructed to implement Model Code of Conduct (MCC) putting all efforts to ensure polls in a free, fair, peaceful and transparent manner adding that officers/officials to discharge their duties entrusted to them with utmost care and as per guidelines, given by the commission. Any dereliction of duty would be viewed seriously, he cautioned. Commissioner Kojeen also stressed on preventing illegal movement of cash, liquor, arms etc. he also informed that for municipal election EVMs and Panchayat Raj would be conducted through ballot boxes. 
Earlier DC Dr. Kinny Singh briefed on availability of manpower and shortage of vehicles and fund management, pending bills and other issues while SP Rajiv Ranjan Singh presented detail report of security arrangement.  DIPRO
