TAWANG, Sep 21: State Election Commissioner, Rinchin Tashi, today interacted with administrative officers of Tawang district to gain first-hand information and take suggestions from officers dealing with the Panchayat  elections at the ground level to make  the Panchayat election process more vibrant. 
He also discussed about the history of Panchayati Raj institution in Arunachal Pradesh since its inception and various amendments to make it more effective. Along with election process of general elections, state Panchayat activities should also continue with same responsibilities and duties, the SEC said.
He took feedback from officers regarding improvisation of
Panchayat election on the line with general elections using modern techniques and methods. 
"There are lots of misinformation and to contain with such misinformation, education and awareness programme and accessibility to election information is very important," Tashi added.
Deputy Commissioner, Kanki Darang, suggested that there should be summary revision every year and photo electoral rolls for Panchayat elections.
The administrative officers from sub divisions also placed their suggestions based on their past experiences of conducting Panchayat elections.
