KIMIN, Aug 4: Search and the rescue operation continued for the second day today to locate a 48-year old man from Laba Village,Nyapin circle under Kurung Kumey district who reportedly drowned in Ranganadi river at Sher, Kimin circle on Saturday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kimin, Likha Tejji informed that one Tadar Kioda, a permanent resident of Laba and presently residing at Dam site in Naharlagun was washed away by the Ranganadi river on Saturday at around 2 PM while crossing the river after completing his work at his rubber garden near VKV School Sher.
Though two search teams were deployed since Saturday but all efforts were in vain due to darkness. However on Sunday several teams were constituted comprising of NDRF,ITBP, local police, administration, local youths were pressed into service for search operation but till evening the person remained untraceable, added the ADC.
