Khonsa, Jun 9: A consultative meeting of the Education Department of Tirap district to discuss and seek suggestions from the stakeholders regarding reopening of government/private schools in the district was convened on Tuesday here at the Kamlesh Joshi Conference Hall by the DC Bhanu Prabha attended by Khonsa East MLA Wanglam Sawin.
After a threadbare discussion, the house unanimously resolved to restart the 2020-21 academic session from July 15 maintaining the SOPs issued by the Union HRD Ministry. DC while interacting with the Principals/Headmasters/BLEOs urged them to improve the district’s education scenario. Prior to this meeting, suggestions were taken from the SMCs, CBOs and parents regarding reopening of schools through the BRCCs, BEOs and CRCCs at village and block levels.
The meeting was attended by DDSE Hortum Loyi, Principals from government higher secondary schools in Khonsa, Borduria & Deomali, Headmasters from all government secondary/upper primary schools among others. DIPRO
