DOIMUKH, Mar 2: In a distressing incident, a 12-year-old student lost her life purportedly following a disagreement among friends.
The unfortunate incident occurred within the premises of Rising Star International School in the Emchi area of Doimukh town, Papumpare district. Reportedly, the incident transpired inside the girls' hostel of the private school around 10 pm on March 1 last. 
According to the Superintendent of Police Papumpare, Taru Gussar, two friends of the deceased have been apprehended and are currently under detention by the Juvenile Justice Board. 
Police have also detained the school principal and the warden for questioning, aiming to ascertain any possible negligence on the part of the school.
Speaking to the media, the SP stated, "We initiated the investigation based on the FIR filed by the deceased's parents and following the post-mortem examination, the body was handed over."
The exact cause of death is yet to be determined, and investigations are ongoing, added the SP.
