TAWANG, Jan 22: To discuss various issues relating to the Board exams as well as those concerning the qualitative aspect of education, a meeting involving all the school heads and teacher in-charges of government schools of Tawang district was convened today at Upper Primary School, Shyo.
Many teacher in-charges, principals and head teachers placed their grievances and suggestions before the house for improvement of education quality.
BEO (hq) informed that the meeting has been called for discussing the upcoming Arun Board examination for classes V and VIII, conduct of Complex examination for classes III, IV, VI and VII, and to improve the quality of education. He also read out the minutes of the last meeting and performance report in examination of every government school of the district.
EAC Sang Khandu, chairing the meeting addressed the teachers as nation builders and appealed to them to come forward with new teaching methods and improve the quality of education.
Guest speaker Colonel Raghunath Singh, informed the house about establishment of 2nd Battalion NCC in Tawang and encouraged students especially those from classes nine and above to join NCC to avail various benefits. DIPRO
