PASIGHAT, May 10: MLA cum Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture & Fisheries, Er Tatung Jamoh inaugurated a new school building of 3 rooms built under SIDF at Rayang Upper Primary School on Thursday near Ruksin.
Reiterating on proper use of school infrastructure and also quality education, he said that due to poor educational system in the government schools, many of the parents/villagers are bound to send their children to private schools.
In response to a one point memorandum of the school seeking construction of school boundary wall, Jamoh assured to look into next SIDF scheme.
Gracing the occasion as Guest of Honour, DDSE East Siang, Jongge Yirang also suggested and advised the teaching communities of UPS Rayang to give quality education to students. He batted for reviving lost glory of government schools which once had performed better before the coming of private schools. Yirang appealed for a concerted effort from all walks of life, teachers, parents and students to revive and improve the education system.
