KHONSA, Jul 29: A training program on food hygiene for cooks of government school kitchens under Mid Day Meal scheme was conducted by DDSE Khonsa here today.
Altogether 161 cook cum helpers from different government schools participated in the training programme.
While highlighting the importance of training program on MDM & food hygiene, DDSE Pubi Lombi highlighted various schemes under the education department being implemented by the state and central government.
He also informed that CM has announced for enhancement of honorarium for cook cum helper from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 2000 per month.
Resource person cum Guest faculty Dr. Sompha Sumpa, MO, General Hospital, Khonsa imparted basic tactics and methods of health and hygiene and demonstrated how to prepare hygienic meals for children.
Cook cum Helpers were also directed to maintain kitchen surroundings.
