Ziro, Mar 17: Saint Claret College, Ziro (SCCZ) celebrated its departmental fest titled Darpan 2019 on March 16 with Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University Professor Saket Kushwaha as chief guest and District Forest Officer, Lower Subansiri District, Koj Rinya, IFS as guest of honour.
Professor Kushwaha urged the students to be honest seekers of knowledge and praised SCCZ for organizing such an event which gives students the opportunity to express their learning creatively. Koj Rinya stressed on cultural tolerance and conservation of environment.
Darpan was the outcome of the cumulative hard work and creativity of all the nine departments of the college and basically a contest among all these departments which was conducted in two parts comprising a themed cultural presentation of 15 minutes and a themed exhibition. All the nine departments put up remarkable stage performances which captivated the audience. The themed exhibition by each department consisted of outstanding items on display based on the departmental disciplines.
The cultural presentations and the exhibitions were judged by a panel of three judges which included Assistant Professor - English, Government College Yachuli Nending Ommo, Director, Medical Sciences, IGTAMSU Dr. Alka Lal and Counsellor, SCCZ Sr. Mary Vanaja.
The entire event was witnessed by the audience consisting of various dignitaries, officials, principals of educational institutions and school & college students. SCCZ Press Release
