ITANAGAR, May 2:The All Kra-Daadi District Student Union on Wednesday has requested General Manager, SBI main office Itanagar to instruct bank manager SBI branch Palin to resume banking services which has remained closed since last two weeks due to link failure, lack of staffer etc.
In a representation, it also urged GM to open ATM service in key locations under the district, depute sufficient staff in the lone bank, and improve net connectivity for smooth functioning of the bank.
Referring to plight of customers, it informed that shortage of staffers and poor net connectivity is severely affecting banking services causing untold suffering to the public.
Also divulging that it had submitted series of memorandum highlighting the problems to both district administration and SBI, it alleged that no action has been initiated so far to alleviate the hardships of common public.
It later threatened to launch democratic movement against the higher authority of SBI and District administration if banking services is not improved within stipulated time.
