CHANGLANG, Sep 29: The Changlang district Administration on Saturday successfully conducted its fifth phase of “Sarkar Apke Dwar” programme at Kantang Circle, wherein hundreds thronged to avail the benefits.
The event started with the distribution of free LPG Gas cylinders and cards to 19 women beneficiaries under Ujjala Scheme followed by handing over of around 250 important certificates such as Scheduled Tribe (ST), Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC), Income & Birth Certificates etc.
Participating in the event, local MLA Phosum Khimhun, Deputy Commissioner R.K Sharma spoke on the list of services and benefits that would be available in the stalls set up by various departments.
Information on Chief Minister’s Aarogya Yojana health insurance scheme, opening of Jan Dhan Yojana accounts, etc were imparted to the public by leading private banks.
Distribution of farming tools and LED bulbs & fans, on the spot clearance of electricity bill were other highlights.
