Tawang, Dec 17: The 7th round of Sarkar Apke Dwar cum Jan Sunwai Camp was conducted today at Bomzha village under Bongkhar Circle of Jang Sub Division by the Tawang District Administration.
It can be recalled that Bomzha caught attention of the national media some two years back by becoming one of the richest village in Arunachal Pradesh after getting land compensation from the Ministry of Defence, where 32 out of 40 families got land compensation amounting to crores. During the camp more than 35 departmental officials including two financial institutions namely SBI and Apex Bank provided services to the villagers which included issuance of ST/PRC, birth certificates & driving licences, Aadhar and widow & old age pension enrolment, police verification, registration under APB & OCWWB, CMAAY, opening of new bank accounts, free medical & veterinary check-up and treatment etc. ADC Tawang(Hq) Lobsang Tsering along with ADC Jang Lobsang Wangchu Bapu and Ex-Anchal Chairperson Namgey Tsering inaugurated the camp in presence of CO Bongkhar Phuntso Tashi, HoDs and villagers. Tsering informed the villagers about various welfare schemes of the government and gave awareness on Arunachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj Amendment Act 2018 and distributed information brochure released by the District Election Officer(PR) on voters’ awareness, Panchayati Raj etc. SP Tawang B. Kamduk and officials present later visited the approach road from PMGSY to Duktungkang (Bomzha Waterfall) which is under construction and aims to boost tourism by extending connectivity close to the waterfall.
Accompanied by Education Department officials they also visited Primary School Kharung in the neighbouring village and gave geometry boxes and other school kits to the students. DIPRO
