TAWANG, Sep 10: Team of officers and officials of various departments headed by the Deputy Commissioner, Tawang, Sang Phuntsok reached Zemithang for the third Sarkar Aapke Dwar programme today.
The camp with the motto 'One Stop Solution to Multiple Problems' was set up at Sports Club, Zemithang involving all departments of the district to provide government services to the people at their doorstep and witnessed huge gathering thronging the venue to avail the same. In addition to services provided, awareness of various schemes was created and grievances submitted by citizens were also attended to.
Further, in view of the problems faced by farmers of Tawang district due to crop raiding by wildlife, a presentation on technologies that can be adopted to address the same was also given by Kamal Medhi, Landscape Coordinator, WWF India at the venue. A kilometer long solar electric fence has already been installed in Lumpo village under Zemithang circle as human-wildlife conflict mitigation measure by the WWF-India in consultation with the village leaders, panchayat and others.
