NAMSAI, Mar 8: Commemorating International Women’s Day, a local NGO of Namsai “ Khun-Ta-Nau Welfare Society  inaugurated a sanitary napkin manufacturing unit at Namsai, which is financed under MLA LAD of 47-Namsai (A/C) and  implemented by Department of Industries Namsai in association with the District Administration.  Local MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom, in his speech urged the women members to be sincere while manufacturing the napkins and to take care of hygiene, so that the product can compete in the market. He also assured to help such groups in initial stage if needed. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tapasya Raghav, in her speech pointed out the value of women and their contribution towards building families as well as society. DIPRO
