ITANAGAR, Sep 16: State Education Minister Er. Taba Tedir today called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) here at Raj Bhavan to discuss the permanent layout plan of the Sainik School, Niglok coming up in East Siang district.
While emphasising on creating a student-friendly infrastructure for the school that would be conducive for their overall academic, physical and mental growth, Governor opined that it should strive to become the best educational institute in India that would serve as a benchmark for others to emulate. Accepting the invitation to participate in the 1st Conference of Heads of School scheduled on September 25 next at the request of the Education Minister, Governor said that Heads of the Schools must move with the needs of time and bring merit-based changes in the schooling system for the benefit of students.
Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar, Commissioner to Governor R.P. Upadhyaya, Secretary Education, Madhu Rani Teotia and Senior Architect Dawa Tsering were also present in the meeting. PRO Raj Bhavan
