ITANAGAR, Jun 15:   Responding to various allegations levelled against him in the ongoing Trans Arunachal Highway land compensation issue in Lower Subansiri, Local MLA Yachuli cum Parliamentary Secretary Transport Likha Saaya today broke his silence and refuted all the allegations terming it as false, baseless and concocted.

Addressing reporters at press club today, Saaya categorically refuted all allegations and slammed the then Deputy Commissioner Lower Subansiri for tarnishing his image in various platforms.

‘I have nothing to do with his transfer from the district as it was the decision of both the legislators of Lower Subansiri after his lackadaisical attitude and failure to disburse the land compensation amount to the actual beneficiaries in transparent manner,’ Saaya said.

Asserting that the former DC has not only tarnished his hard earned image of over two decades but also tried to create communal tension in the area, he announced to take legal action.

“I have filed a criminal lawsuit against him on June 13 last and the Court has already admitted it” he said.

Armed with bundles of supporting documents in support of his clarifications, the Yachuli MLA also denied all accusations regarding involvement of his kith and kin in land compensation process pertaining to Potin-Bopi and Joram- Koloriang stretch of TAH.  He clarified that except for his wife no one from his family had received any compensation amount.

Regarding the DC’s accusation of Rs 3 crore forcefully taken from DLRSO Bharat Lingu, Saaya said that he had taken that money on loan and it has been refunded.

When asked about  reports of  his demand for Rs 20 crore from the DC, Saaya categorically denied demanding any sum from compensation amount.  He exuded hope that the govt constituted Fact Finding Committee would unearth the whole truth pertaining to Potin-Bopi and Joram- Koloriang stretch of TAH at the earliest.
