NEELAM, Sep 29: BJP legislator Likha Saaya formally inagurated and handed over a CC road constructed at an estimated cost of Rs10 lakhs and a rostum worth Rs. 20 lakhs for general ground at Neelam, Deed circle, sanctioned under his MLA Lad fund.
While handing over, Saaya has also announced Rs.10 lakhs from his side for immediate repair and renovation of the dilapidated road between Joram and Koloriang.
Expressing concern for people of Neelam area who are facing constant power cuts and low voltage problems, Saaya also promised to provide a transformer by his own funds very soon.
The villagers also submitted a seven-point memorandum seeking Saaya’s intervention in construction of roads from main highway to Gai Putu approximately of 4km in length and 3.5km road from New Neelam to Nadra Pada, construction of 2 km village internal road from Joram-Koloriang road to Broom Garden at Kach, 1.5 km road from cooperative Geka to general ground at Kach, fund for construction of office building for Neelam Youth Club, multipurpose auditorium hall , rejuvenation of water supply lines at Bew Neelam.
Terming their demands very genuine, Saaya said already an amount of Rs.1crore has been sanctioned for laying of CC roads and to address other grievances in the memorandum.
However, Saaya said he will first address the crucial road connectivity problems and water supply, thereafter will look into the demand of construction of Neelam Youth Club building and multipurpose auditorium hall.
Later, chairing a development meeting, Saaya said that Yachuli is enjoying uninterrupted development in all spheres after BJP came to power which was neglected by previous government .
Reiterating his commitment to develop Yachuli constituency a model for others, Saaya said that he is trying hard for the overall development of Yachuli.
