PASIGHAT, Feb 7:  In a shocking and gruesome incident, bank cashier of Rural Bank was found dead inside the bank this evening suspected to be a case of murder.

Cashier Bomge Nyori was found lying in a pool of blood inside the Rural Bank Mebo this evening.

As per Mebo Police i/c OC, B. Pait, late Nyori was not responding to phone call from his wife, who then came to the bank when he didn’t return from duty. His car was parked outside and he was still inside the bank.

“On information of his wife we entered the bank’s cashier room and found him dead and a computer UPS was used to inflict the injury on the victims head,” said Pait.

When asked about the possible motive of the murder, bank manager Nalo Nitan said that, the locker keys are yet to be recovered and until it is opened we can’t say anything about the possibility of robbery though it appears to be a case of robbery attempt. The CCTV cameras have also been removed by the assailant/s to escape from getting caught.

Taking serious note of the incident, Mebo MLA and Advisor to Chief Minister, Lombo Tayeng has strongly condemned the murder and has directed the SP Pasighat as well as district administration to hunt out the culprits behind the heinous crime which is polluting the peaceful environment of Mebo Sub-Division.

“This is beyond toleration and I offer my deepest condolence to the family members of late Nyori, may the Almighty give enough strength to the wife, sons and family members at this hour of grief and I on behalf of entire Mebo Sub-Division assure our best support and cooperation in nabbing the perpetrators behind”, added Tayeng.
