NAMSAI, Oct 10: With the motive to create awareness on robotic technology innovation and ideas amongst students, Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology supported by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India organized a Robotics Awareness Programme here at the Government Upper Primary School Bhogamur & Melangkung under Namsai district.
Speaking on the occasion, Mentor, Innovation-Hub APSCST Subu Tarang informed that the Department of Science & Technology has given a target to create awareness on robotic innovation and ideas in at least 100 schools in Namsai district. “As of now we have completed 18 schools and the rest will be completed soon,” added Tarang. “During the programme we will provide information about robotic technology as well as collect innovative ideas from the students and convert them to reality,” stated the Mentor while adding that many government schools don’t have proper facilities, and the department has decided to visit the targeted schools from primary to higher secondary level and create awareness as well promote their innovative ideas.
Students, as well as teaching staff, attended the day-long programme.
