Bomdila, Nov 7: In a major breakthrough, Bomdila police has arrested one drug peddler and recovered four kilograms of Cannabis/Ganja and 20 grams of Charas (Marijuana).
The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Dilip Gor, 40 yrs alias Kaka of Udalguri, Assam and a case (BDL PS No. 28/19 u/s 20(b)/27) under NDPS Act has been registered.The police team comprised of OC PS Bomdila SI K Dev and his colleagues which carried out the operation under the guidance of SP West Kameng Raja Banthia.
Acting on an information that few miscreants are committing robbery on the Highway near petrol depot at about 0220 hrs on November 6 last, Dev and his team promptly acted and arrested three miscreants namely Dondu Sidisow & Miza Khadisow both 19 yrs and hailing from Rupa and Akho Sidisow, 18 yrs from Thrizino from various locations of Bomdila after an hour-long hide and seek chase. They were arrested in connection with BDL PS case no 27/19 u/s 427/392/34 IPC. During the search 20 grams of Charas locally called Black was recovered from the possession of Sh. Miza of Khadisow. On being interrogated, he disclosed the source of such narcotics and accordingly the police team raided the suspected location which led to the arrest of Kaka and recovery of drugs.
All the arrested were produced before District and Session Judge which gave the kingpin a four-day police remand and judicial custody for the remaining three. SP West Kameng PR
