TAWANG, Oct 9: The Tawang district administration today conducted eviction of building materials dumped by the public at various places along the roadside of the township. This follows its earlier order against dumping of such materials on roadsides. With the onset of tourist season Tawang is expecting a large number of tourists and this has been done to make the roads safer and clear for traffic movement.
In the recently conducted “Swachhta Sarvekshan Grameen” Tawang has been adjudged as cleanest district in entire North Eastern States, with which the responsibility of the citizens has  increased manifold and in order to honour this prestigious award the district administration is making all out effort to bring more awareness among the general public with regard to cleanliness.
